OMAIIdesign

About us:

OMAIIdesign is an online portfolio created by two students who study under the University of Arts, London. This website was fabricated for students and aspiring professionals from anywhere to showcase their work for Online Public viewing plus allowing anyone to purchase items and ideas made by the designers.

Currently there are four confirmed designers at OMAii exhibiting their work and there are more to joining in the near future as we recruit more talent, allowing OMAIIdesign to expand to reach more people.

OMAiidesign.co.uk is our place to say this is what I am; this is what I do.

Let us take this opportunity to thank the ones who allowed this website to become reality. Thank you Pea and Chris for your constructive feedback and great ideas. Also, we would like to thank Jon and Bob. Without their immense continual aid, this website would have never gotten past mark 1. How are we ever going to express our gratitude with my poor vocabulary? We'll draw you both a picture.

Thank you :D and certainly, we, ourselves deserve a pat on the back.

Projects and Works

Mr.Partiholic
First furniture project I've ever done. designed for young person who frequently invite their friends to home and put them up for the night. It was quite challenging. The choice of materials is vital!

Proggetto POET-Proggetto Millennio
The competition held by Vetrerie Bruni - Italian bottle design and production company. Selected to be sent to Milan. My proposal is a white wine bottle especially designed for oriental consumers considering their eating habits and conventions.

Poster and Logo design
My best friend in high school asked me to help her to design two logos and an event poster for the Chinese Students Society. the lantern on the poster was modelled and rendered in in Rhino ( terrible....would be better if rendered in Vray). P.S: the party was a huge success~ha

T-shirt Design for my Friend
After doing this I realized that vector graphs are so easy to use but freaking ugly T..T

Gap
A series of jewelry responding to the brief "Gap". The gap that I created was between the audience and the wearer. Finished when I was in Beijing. Inspired by a magical dress in the great Chinese novel-The Journey To The West, haha~

Small Objects, Big idea
My very first piece of jewelry. I created this narrative bracelet by using 9 found objects including my own photo as the brief suggested. The work was quite rough but fun ~

Silence
This is a project i did in Beijing. By using the most basic materials and technique to create a piece of jewelry responding the theme "silence". the piece is made of cans and had been exhibited in the exhibition hall for one week.

Self-made pinhole camera
It is a really good way to explore the working principle of a camera by making a pinhole camera by yourself. It's really easy to make and don't cost much. These two pictures were posed by myself and my friends in Central Academy of Arts in Beijing.

Exploded view of my headphone
My first rendered exploded view. I chose the headphone to render because it has a lot circles and arches in terms of form which are quite challenging. Although the perspective is still a bit strange, the final visual effect is charming !
